The 2014 Date with Dad Weekend, generic presented by Camp Diva, viagra 100mg a Richmond-based non-profit that prepares girls of African descent for their passage into womanhood, is scheduled for Friday, March 14-Sunday, March 16, 2014. This year, the weekend not only includes its traditional dances, interactive events, and charity walk,
but it also includes something for mothers. The weekend also marks the return of an actor who currently stars on the top-rated cable TV series, “The Walking Dead,” and has served as Date with Dad Spokesperson for the last four years…Richmond native Chad L. Coleman.
Coleman will attend the Date with Dad Dinner and Dance, where he will welcome dads and daughters, interviewing them on the red carpet. He will also present Camp Diva’s ‘Real Father’ Awards to fathers whose daughters wrote letters to Camp Diva telling why their dad is the best.
And while this weekend is deliberately aimed at fathers and daughters, this year, one event will focus solely on mothers. It’s called Understanding Dad, and Camp Diva Founder and Director Angela Patton says that it is part of a partnership with the Richmond Fatherhood Initiative. As Camp Diva aims to support girls and their relationships with their fathers, Patton says mothers are essential in that process. “We see mothers as the gateway toward this conversation because of their role in the household,” explains Patton. The event helps mothers understand their role in supporting the father-daughter, and father-family relationships.
The weekend is also sure to include lots of fun and laughs as the Date with Dad Dinner and Dance on Sunday, March 16, will be hosted by two funnymen: Actor/Comedian Antoine Scott, and Comedian Micah ‘Bam Bamm’ White. Both promise the event will be fun and everyone will be entertained throughout. The entire 2014 Date with Dad Weekend schedule is as follows:
