For many people 2013 was not a very good year, abortion and for others there is some nostalgia attached to the year that was. However, rx for most people the year tends to reflect the most recent experience they had, tadalafil whether good or bad. The New Year always offers the opportunity to change and perhaps, make things better than they have been before. It’s a chance to commit or re-commit to plans, people or purpose. Each New Year, we have before us an opportunity to reconcile with someone, to forgive someone, to step out and do something that we have only dreamed of as possible. Standing there on the first day of the New Year, we have so many choices to make. I’m not just talking about the “typical resolution-type” choices like losing weight or getting into shape. Although getting healthier in the New Year is certainly a worthwhile endeavor. Self improvement is usually one of those resolutions that lasts only a few days, weeks or months before all has once again been forgotten and failure dashes our hopes of ever being able to accomplish the goals we set in our most recent round of resolutions.
As we consider the ingredients that contribute to successful outcomes, one of the most fundamental is purpose. What is the purpose, the reason or the objective for wanting to do this or that? Why do we want to stop doing something or start doing something else? If the purpose is superficial, the outcome will also be superficial. Change is hard and the road to change is long. If the reason or reasons you have for committing to change, whatever that change may be, are superficial and not rooted or clearly purposed you have set yourself up for failure. The sacrifices that must be made for change to happen will be too difficult and before long you will give in or give up. Next New Year’s Eve will come and you will find yourself nowhere near where you had hoped to be. Now it must be recognized that failure is a part of the journey towards change…the distinction between those who succeed and those who do not is perseverance. When failures come, do they stop you or do they challenge you to press forward with more fervor and tenacity? Failure can be a wonderful teacher. The depth of our commitment to change is dependent upon the clarity of our purpose. It we do not know why we want to make changes, why we want to stop certain behaviors or start others, we will never succeed in making it happen.
Technology and technological gadgets give us the ability to hit the RE-SET button. Sometimes it is necessary in life to RE-SET, and the beginning of a New Year gives you the perfect opportunity to do so. You cannot keep doing things in the same old ways and think that you are going to get a different set of outcomes. You do not have to settle for the way things have always been because that’s the way they have always been! It’s a New Year! In 2014, commit yourself to making a CHANGE. Take this opportunity to look at the purpose of your goals, your behaviors and habits. What is your purpose in life and why do you make the choices you make? Is it time to make a change for a better outcome than you have been getting? Hit Re-Set for 2014 and make a change in your life. That change, whether small or large, could potentially change so many lives around you.
