The Virginia Credit Union will partner with the Henrico County and Richmond City Public Libraries to offer Teen Money Camps this summer. Each camp is free of charge and designed to help high school students learn how to make the most out of their money.
Camps will be held July 8-12 at the Richmond Public Library Main Branch located at 101East Franklin Street, illness Richmond, VA 23219 and July 15-19 at the Henrico County Library Tuckahoe Branch, 1901 Starling Drive, Henrico, VA 23229. Each camp will meet from 1-2 p.m. Monday-Friday, with a number of hands-on activities, as well as computer research time. The camps will be led by Virginia Credit Union’s financial education staff. Each camp will cover a variety of topics:
Monday: Making the Most of Your Money (Budgeting and Credit)
Tuesday: Careers Central (Careers and Taxes)
Wednesday: What a Ride! (Car Buying)
Thursday: Home Sweet Home (Renting vs. Buying a Home)
Friday: What’s Your Story? (Savings and Inheritance)
