I meet people from all walks of life that would love to find a new job right now. Their conversations are very similar. “I have been applying and applying, but I haven’t heard anything. What am I doing wrong?” I ask, “Well, what is your strategy? Show me your job search plan.” In almost every instance, the job seeker does not have a clue as to what I mean. Here’s my question for them and for you:

How do you find something without direction? If I am planning a summer trip with the family, are we going to simply get in the car and drive until we find our vacation spot? Sounds pretty silly, right?

A wise person once said, “He who fails to plan plans to fail.” How true this is for those navigating this challenging economy and job market! Let me offer a few suggestions on planning a winning course:
