On May 4, site erectile customers who visited MARTIN’S in the greater Richmond area were provided the opportunity to donate one dollar to the Richmond SPCA upon checkout. In doing so, find customers were asked to specify if they preferred cats or dogs. With all stores in the Richmond area reporting, most people chose dogs as their favorite pet as opposed to cats. Dogs won an overwhelming 63% of the vote. In conjunction with the one day event, MARTIN’S will donate $10,000 to the Richmond SPCA.
Those donations will be put to great use as the Richmond SPCA plans to purchase new transfer vans for the facility. These vans will be used to transport homeless dogs and cats from local animal shelters to the care of the Richmond SPCA.
MARTIN’S continues their strong and fiery support of the Richmond SPCA and their humanitarian efforts. In 2012, MARTIN’S donated its own Companion brand pet food to the Richmond SPCA in the amount of $39,964.
