What:             2013 Richmond Heart Ball, “Conquering the Heart”

The Richmond Heart Ball has raised over $9.9 million to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Locally, the American Heart Association funds research programs at Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Virginia, Eastern Virginia Medical School and Virginia Tech, as well as public and professional educational programs year-round throughout the Richmond area. The Richmond Heart Ball includes live and silent auctions, live music and a seated dinner. Each year the Heart Ball’s unique theme is anxiously anticipated by all participants. This year’s “Conquering the Heart” theme will highlight local researches, doctors and medical professionals that are making significant contributions in the fight against heart disease and stroke.

The Heart Society Champions of the Richmond Heart Ball are Bon Secours Richmond Health System, Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc., and VCU Medical Center.
