Trustbuilding: An Honest Conversation on Race, Reconciliation, and Responsibility
March 15, 5:30 –6:30 PM. Former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine will speak and music will be provided by One Voice Chorus. Rob Corcoran, national director of Initiatives of Change and founder of Hope in the Cities, will discuss and sign Trustbuilding: An Honest Conversation on Race, Reconciliation, and Responsibility, an unflinchingly honest book about mobilizing communities around racial reconciliation. The book centers on how Richmond, a former slave market and capital of the Confederacy, has become a seedbed for interracial dialogue and trustbuilding with national and international implications. Known as Hope in the Cities, this endeavor is now in its second decade of work. A reception will follow the event. State Library of Virginia, 800 E. Broad St. 692-3500
